Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Attack Kills Five, Including Three Children

(MENAFN) Five Palestinians, among them three children, were killed Wednesday evening when an Israeli drone strike hit the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian security and medical sources said.

According to security sources, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of people gathered near Al-Qassam Mosque in Beit Lahia, with the strike occurring in the early evening hours.

A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City told media that the facility had received five bodies — including those of three children — along with several wounded individuals sustaining injuries of varying severity.

Earlier the same day, Gaza-based health authorities had reported in a separate statement that local hospitals received one body and four injured individuals over the preceding 24-hour period.

The authorities' statement further revealed the mounting toll since a ceasefire was announced on Oct. 10, 2025: 786 Palestinians have since been killed and 2,217 others wounded in Israeli attacks. The cumulative death toll dating back to Oct. 7, 2023 has now climbed to 72,562, with an additional 172,320 people injured over that period.
