Gaza Bleeds: 14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Israeli Drone Strike
Medical sources identified the victim as Rassem Yousef Asaliya, 14, whose body was transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City following the strike that targeted him in the town of Jabalia.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the strike hit an area outside zones currently occupied by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip — deepening concerns over the scope and intent of ongoing military activity within ceasefire boundaries.
The attack comes amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, the death toll since the ceasefire took effect has climbed to at least 603 Palestinians killed and 1,618 others wounded in continued Israeli strikes.
The violence traces back to Oct. 8, 2023, when Israel launched a military offensive in Gaza that has since stretched two years, leaving more than 72,000 dead and 171,000 injured. The conflict has devastated an estimated 90% of civilian infrastructure, with the United Nations placing reconstruction costs at approximately $70 billion.
