Vance allegedly asks Israeli PM to give Gaza truce ‘a chance’

An American official present at the meeting noted that Netanyahu appeared receptive to Vance’s emphasis on maintaining the ceasefire and progressing with the next steps of the agreement.
The US administration is reportedly working to gather economic, military, and diplomatic backing from Arab nations for both the international force intended for Gaza and a peace council aimed at funding the territory’s reconstruction.
Vance’s meeting with Netanyahu took place on Wednesday in West Jerusalem, forming part of his official visit to the country.
