US president stats that Mideast allies ready to send Troops into Gaza
The warning followed Trump’s earlier statement that Hamas would be “eradicated” if it did not adhere to the agreement that has brought a tenuous halt to more than two years of conflict between Israel and the group.
"Numerous of our NOW GREAT ALLIES in the Middle East, and areas surrounding the Middle East, have... informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into GAZA with a heavy force and 'straighten our [sic] Hamas' if Hamas continues to act badly," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
His remarks coincided with Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Israel, alongside two senior administration envoys, aimed at reinforcing support for the U.S.-brokered ceasefire following renewed violence in Gaza over the weekend that raised concerns about its stability.
Trump said he had cautioned both Israeli officials and allied governments willing to intervene to wait before taking any military action. "NOT YET!" he wrote, adding, "There is still hope that Hamas will do what is right. If they do not, an end to Hamas will be FAST, FURIOUS, & BRUTAL!"
